Shipping & Returns
How we get hardware to you, what freight costs, and what happens if something arrives damaged, turns up faulty or simply isn’t right. Read alongside your Terms & Conditions.
Effective 1 September 2026. Applies to hardware bought through the Glue IT shop. Provided by Glue IT, a registered business name of Graham Peter Hand (ABN 69 317 210 850, registered for GST), Penrith NSW 2750.
Where we ship
Australia-wide. We’re based in Penrith and deliver anywhere in Australia. We don’t ship outside Australia.
If you’re local, you can collect from us instead of paying freight - say so on your order and we’ll confirm a time.
What freight costs
Freight is quoted per order, not charged as a flat rate. Product prices on the site include GST and do not include delivery.
When you place an order we confirm the freight and the lead time with you before we take payment or send anything. You will not be charged a delivery cost you haven’t seen and agreed to first. We quote it this way because a patch lead and a rack of switches are not the same parcel, and a real quote beats a flat rate that’s wrong in both directions.
If the freight makes an order not worth doing, tell us - no order is binding until you’ve confirmed the total.
When it ships
We confirm stock, price and freight on your order, normally the same or next business day (Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, excluding NSW public holidays).
Dispatch depends on the item. Stocked lines usually go out once your order is confirmed and paid. Anything we bring in for you - special orders, larger UniFi builds, bulk cable - depends on the supplier, and we’ll give you that lead time up front rather than after you’ve paid.
We’ll let you know when your order ships. If something slips, we tell you - we’d rather give you a real date than a hopeful one.
If it arrives damaged or doesn’t arrive
Check your delivery when it arrives. If the carton is damaged, or the goods are damaged in transit, contact us within 7 days of deliveryand keep the packaging - the carrier usually needs to see it. We’ll sort out the replacement or refund with the carrier ourselves. That is our job, not yours.
If a delivery doesn’t turn up at all, tell us and we’ll trace it. You are not out of pocket for a parcel we sent that never arrived.
Faulty goods and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing on this page, in our Terms, or in any manufacturer’s warranty limits those rights. A manufacturer’s warranty is in addition to them, never instead of them.
If something we supplied is faulty, come to us - you don’t have to chase the manufacturer yourself. Tell us what it’s doing, and we’ll work out whether it’s a fault, a configuration problem or something on the line. That’s usually faster, because we tend to know the network it’s plugged into.
Change of mind
The Australian Consumer Law does not require a refund when you simply change your mind, but we’ll take stocked items back within 14 days of delivery if they are unused, in original undamaged packaging and resaleable as new.
- Contact us first so we can give you a return reference - unannounced returns are hard to match to an order.
- Return freight on a change of mind is yours; the original freight isn’t refunded.
- We don’t charge a restocking fee on standard stocked lines.
- Special orders, items brought in specifically for you, cut-to-length cable and opened software or licences can’t be returned for change of mind - we can’t sell them again as new.
This is our own policy, offered on top of the Australian Consumer Law. It doesn’t reduce any right you have under it.
Installed and configured equipment
Where we’ve installed, cabled or configured equipment on site, the hardware and the labour are separate. A faulty unit is covered as above. Work already carried out is chargeable whether or not the hardware is later returned - the visit happened.
If a fault is ours - we cabled it wrong, we configured it wrong - we come back and fix it at our cost. That isn’t a warranty claim, it’s just us finishing the job properly.
How to start a return or a warranty claim
Call 1300 458 348 or email [email protected]with your order reference, what the item is and what’s wrong with it. A photo helps for anything physical.
Approved refunds go back to the card or account you paid from, normally within 5 business days of us receiving and checking the goods. Card payments are processed by Pay Advantage; how quickly it appears after that is your bank’s timing, not ours.
If you’re not happy with the outcome
Tell us - we’d rather fix it than lose you. Our complaints process sets out how we handle it and how to escalate, including to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman for telecommunications services. For consumer-guarantee matters about goods, you can also contact the ACCC or NSW Fair Trading.
